Hello, Mac food lovers!
This small Mangia! file contains all of the food recipes (28) found in
"The Bacardi Party Book," produced by Bacardi & Company, Ltd. (printed
about 1981; not copyright indicated). The recipes are from the "Cold Hors
d'oeuvres," "Hot Hors d'oeuvres," "Entrees," and "Desserts" sections of
the book. Because food recipes make up less than half of the books
content (cocktails, etc. make up the rest), I also included those recipes
>From the "Punches" (7) and "Eggnog" (3) sections. Also in the file as
"recipes" are the texts from "Which Bacardi for What?" and "It all starts
with Bacardi" just to keep with the spirit of the book. They file at the
top and are marked with asterisks. No single drinks (except single
eggnog...try it!) are included. They may be added at a later date if
there is interest.
Included in this binhexed Compact Pro archive are this text and the recipe
file itself. The recipe file may contain some ingredients that aren't in
the "standard" Mangia! dictionary and the source is definitely NOT there.
Don't worry, Mangia! is intelligent enough to update your dictionary on
This is a collection Chinese literature works. It is also a set of HyperCard
stacks for you to organize, edit-view, or get to a particular entry very
easily, or let you show off to your friends of this great Chinese treasure :-)
These 20 or more stacks contain the poems or posting
from recent postings on "Chinese Poem Exchange and Discussion List"
(CHPOEM-L@UBVM.cc.buffalo.edu), or from various collection.
The basic thing these stacks can do is to edit, input - output text file,
dump the while stack as text file (which can be read in to rebuild
the entire stack. or read by PC users), and indexing. i.e.,
(1) edit Chinese text;
(2) output it a text file, for you to post or used as backup, or in my
favorate way: let it scroll on the screen when the Mac is idling (by
AfterDark Scroll module).
(3) read in a text file.
(4) Create index for the whole collection, thus you can jump to a
particular poem just by a click.
(5) If I add more feature in the future version of this stack, you can
dump out your old collection into text, then read it back it into a new
stack template to rebuild a new collection.
etc. (see the ChineseCollection.readme file for detail.)
You should have the Chinese System or Chinese Script installed in your
Macintosh to use this stack.
Enjoy!

SCRIPTURE MEMORY STACK
Version 1.0
This stack is the perfect tool for memorizing Scripture verses. It can also be used to memorize other texts such as poetry or speeches. You can type in anything you want to memorize.
Requires HyperCard 2.x or the HyperCard Player. Uses a minimum of XCMD's and is not password protected.
Seven dollars shareware fee is requested.
KEY FEATURES
1. Seven drills are available, from easy to very challenging.
2. The difficulty of some of the drills depends on how much you have practiced on the particular verse in question.
3. You can type in the verses you want to memorize in your favorite translation.
4. Verses are sorted according to your familarity with each one. Since the quizzes start with verses at the front of the database, you will automatically concentrate on the verses that you need to.
4. When verses have been memorized, they can be designated as verses for review only.
5. Several utilities are available. For example, the database can be printed so that you can work on the verses while you are away from your Mac.
6. Balloon help is implemented on the main menu card.
